Title：Monotone independence in noncommutative probability

Abstract：In noncommutative probability, various notions of independence for random variables have been proposed. Among them free independence is the most popular subject and has found connections and applications to other fields including operator algebras and random matrices. In this talk I will give an introduction to a different notion called “monotone independence”.
