Dr. SAWAMURA Masaya (Chemistry), Dr. ATOBE Hiraku (Mathematics), and Dr. KAMATA Shunichi (Earth & Planetary Sciences) receive commendations for Science and Technology from the Minister of MEXT

Three researchers in the Faculty of Science received this year’s Commendation for Science and Technology from the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan (MEXT). The three recipients are as follows:

◆ Awards for Science and Technology / Research Category

• SAWAMURA Masaya (Professor, Department of Chemistry)
  “Research on the Design of Transition Metal Catalysts for Organic Synthesis”

◆ The Young Scientists’ Award

• ATOBE Hiraku (Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics)
• KAMATA Shunichi (Associate Professor, Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences)
