Biology is a discipline that studies all living things. The department makes concerted efforts to educate students with up-to-date knowledge and provide hand-on experiences in the pristine nature of Hokkaido. Our curriculum enables students to learn the universality of nature, develop problem-solving skills, and think globally.
The Division of Biology conducts research on a wide range of fields ranging from molecular biology to ecology. Research targets vary from animals and plants to protists and bacteria.
