Title:The Cauchy problem for the nonlinear dispersive equation and its vanishing limit

Abstract:We study the Cauchy problem for the Zakharov system (Z) and the Schrödinger-improved Boussinesq system (S-iB) in a two dimensional domain. There are few papers treating these systems in a general domain, since it is difficult to use the Fourier transform in a general domain. Here we prove the Cauchy problem for these systems based on the energy method. Moreover, we show the difference between (Z) and (S-iB) and the vanishing limit for (S-iB). These results are based on a joint work with Professor Tohru Ozawa (Waseda University).
