Title：Gaussian curvature and pseudo-holomorphic curves

Abstract：Following Gromov, Labourie developed a framework for studying immersed surfaces of constant and prescribed Gaussian curvature in terms of pseudo-holomorphic curves. In this talk, we review Labourie’s ideas, and discuss their diverse applications to the study of the geometries of such surfaces.
